Both parties love to regulate — even the GOP under Reagan. The difference is proactive regulation, coupled with the taxes to pay for it, versus semi-random, pro-business, program cuts and the consistent defunding of states and cities followed by reactive bailout programs after the completely predictable collapses happen.
